Cultural Events

Seychelles culture derives from three continents (Africa, Asia & Europe). This has greatly influenced our dances and music.  La Reserve's entertainment program provides the opportunity to experience that.

Local musicians play a mixture of traditional and international music three times a week joined by a group of traditonal 'moutya' and 'sega' dancers.

Nature Walk
As well as the Vallée de Mai there are many other Nature Trails and walks on Praslin. La Reserve can organise a guided tour of Curieuse Island for its guests. Here you can see very young Giant Land Tortoise and very old ones as well as exotic plants, palms and rare birds along the way.
Snorkeling and Kayaks
Being the only hotel located directly in the Curieuse National Marine Park on Praslin, La Reserve offers snorkeling equipments to all hotel guests free of charge. The secluded Anse Petite Cour Bay offers good snorkeling throughout the year. If not Kayaks are also made available for them.
Vallee De Mai
Only 48 acres, the Vallée de Mai is one of the smallest of the natural World Heritage Sites. It lies in the heart of Praslin National Park. It is home to the renowned coco-de-mer palm, which produces the largest, and perhaps most erotic seed in the plant kingdom.
